Life Summary

Anton Yelchin, the American actor passed away at an early age of 27 leaving all his fans and co-workers in the state of shock. He was known for his brilliant performance as Chekov in the new “Star Trek” movies. He died in fatal traffic accident on the early morning of June 19, 2016. Yelchin started with guest appearances in many TV shows and different roles in independent movies.In “Alpha Dogs”, he got his first big role. He played the role of Chekov in the new “Star Trek” franchise. He was there in the first two movies and also played the role in the new Star Trek film, “Star Trek Beyond,” which will be releasing on July 22nd, 2016.

Biography

He was born in Russia. His parents, were a successful professional figure skaters in Russia's Leningrad.When he was six-month-old his parents emigrated to the United States.Yelchin was fond of acting. He attended acting classes and at the age of 10, made his debut as Robbie Edelstein in the medical drama ER, in 1994. By the age of 11, he played the role of Bobby Garfield, acting opposite to Anthony Hopkins in "Hearts in Atlantis" winning the Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a Feature Film as Leading Young Actor in 2002. In the film “Charlie Bartlett”, he played the title role in 2007.
